Manuscript Editing
We offer our customers 2-round, and 3-round manuscript editing options that optimize the language and style of your English manuscript, aiming to get the document ready for journal submission.
Advantages in working with us: other companies act as the middleman, assigning each editing round of the same document to different editors, restricting direct communications between the authors and the editors. We dedicate a single expert editor for all editing rounds of the same document. In addition to the editor’s expertise, this approach ensures
- cohesion throughout the editing process,
- communication between authors and editor, and
- submission readiness at the end of the process.

Important notes on our rates:
- We dedicate the 1-round edit for non-manuscript documents such as cover letters and response to referees. We accept manuscripts for 1-round edits for cases where only English tuning up is required.
- We dedicate the 2-round edit for regular manuscripts that require input and suggestions for the editor in style and academic English expressions.
- We dedicate the 3-round edit for manuscripts where the original English requires extensive author-editor exchange to enable editing.
- We reserve the right to decide whether a given manuscript is suitable for the standard rate editing.
Preferred manuscript format: we accept all formats, but research-article format, complete with all sections.
Word count: we count words for every section that is to be edited. We never count the author list. We only count the reference list if it is to be edited.
Additional feature: one optional, free video conference after the first editing round.
Expediting fee: The standard manuscript requires enough time for the editing itself and to enable the simultaneous editing of other materials possible. Please allow a week time per editing round. If your work is urgent, please contact us to discuss the possibilities. A expediting fee may apply.
Cover letters, replies to referees, and other documents. For these non-manuscript documents, we offer a 1-round edit at 10 yen per word.

We translate your academic manuscript from Japanese or from Chinese to English with optimized language, style, and formatting that ready the document for journal submission.
